A safe space to be heard.

Psychology, HR and authorship come together in a thoughtful approach to understanding people, relationships and the world of work.

A Safe Space to Be Heard

I am Minal Marudkar, a psychology professional, author and HR professional with an interest in emotional well-being, human behaviour and the connection between our personal and professional lives.

My background brings together education in clinical psychology, experience in human resources, counselling-related training, research and an interest in mind-body well-being. These experiences have shaped my interest in understanding people's experiences with empathy, curiosity and respect for their individual circumstances.

Life can bring stress, emotional difficulties, relationship concerns, self-doubt and transitions that are not always easy to navigate. Seeking support can feel unfamiliar, particularly when people worry about being judged or believe they should manage everything on their own. I believe conversations about mental health should feel more approachable, and seeking appropriate support should be seen as a positive step towards well-being.

My aim is to contribute to a more understanding and informed approach to psychological well-being—one that encourages people to reflect on their experiences, understand themselves better and explore appropriate ways forward.

Professional Background

My academic background includes an M.A. in Psychology (Clinical), an MBA in Human Resources and a Diploma in Basic Counselling Skills. I have also undertaken focused workshops and training in areas including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, grief counselling, mental status examination, the mind-body connection and psychological testing.

My earlier professional experience in Human Resources gave me practical exposure to recruitment, employee-related processes, communication and organisational life. This experience continues to inform my interest in the relationship between people, their working environments and their overall well-being.

My work and interests also extend to research and authorship. I am the author of Demystifying the 3 Elements of Ayurveda: Empowering Healthy Mind, Body & Soul, and my psychology research has explored sleep quality, emotional regulation and mood stability among working professionals.

Together, these experiences reflect my continuing interest in understanding people from psychological, interpersonal and workplace perspectives.

My Approach

I value active listening, empathy, rapport-building and respect for each person's experiences. I believe people should have the opportunity to express themselves without unnecessary judgment and to ask questions without feeling that they need to have everything figured out.

My approach emphasises clear communication, psychoeducation, behavioural understanding and the thoughtful application of evidence-informed psychological approaches, appropriate to the individual's needs and the scope of my training and practice.

I also believe that psychological concepts should be accessible. Clear language, practical examples and opportunities for reflection can help people develop a better understanding of their emotions, behaviour and everyday experiences.

For me, supporting well-being begins with understanding the person, recognising individual differences and approaching each interaction with care, respect and professional responsibility.

Vision & Mission

My Vision

To contribute to a society in which psychological well-being receives greater understanding and attention, mental health conversations are more open, and seeking appropriate support is viewed as a positive part of everyday life.

My Mission

To promote mental-health awareness, make psychological knowledge more accessible, encourage early help-seeking and support informed conversations about emotional well-being. Through my professional work, research, writing and educational initiatives, I aim to encourage people to give their mental and emotional well-being the same thoughtful attention they give to their physical health.
